A beautiful 90% angora and 10% wool yarn hand-dyed by Fleece Artist, Sheared Angora is a part of the Mineville Wool Project by Fleece Artist (aptly named so as Kathryn and Emily of Fleece Artist live and work in Mineville, Nova Scotia). This lovely angora is soft and comes in a 4-ply construction with minimal to no shedding, which is very unique for a 90% angora yarn. Unlike other angora blend yarns with a large angora fiber content, Sheared Angora is strong and can be used for garments and accessories without the fear of breakage. In addition, Sheared Angora comes in 50 gram skeins with generous 272 yards of yarn, which makes it possible to use for one and/or two skeins projects. I am currently knitting a pair of socks with my two skeins.
Fiber Content: 90% Sheared angora and 10% virgin wool.
Yardage: 272 Yards in each 50 gram skein.
Gauge: Approximately 5.5 stitches to an inch on U.S. size 6 needles (4 mm).
Weight: Sport.
Care: Hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
