Noro Okunoshima is a soft self-striping single ply silk, wool, angora, and mohair blend yarn that creates beautifully colorful accessories, sweaters, blankets and any other project your imagination can dream up. Okunoshima works up at a gauge very similar to that of Noro Silk Garden and can be used as a substitute. Important note, it comes in big 100 gram skeins - yey! - so keep this in mind when substituting for Silk Garden (you would need half as many skeins of Okunoshima).

Fiber Content: 35% Silk, 28% Wool, 20% Angora, 17% Mohair.

Yardage: Approximately 242 yards of yarn in each 100 gram skein.

Knitting Gauge: Approximately 4-5 stitches to an inch on U.S. size 7-9 needles (4.5-5.5mm).

Crochet Gauge: Approximately 2.75-3.5 sc to an inch on hook size 7-I9.

Weight: Light Worsted-Worsted.

Care: Hand wash in cold water with gentle detergent/wool wash.  Do not wring, lay flat to dry. Alternatively dry clean.
