Hand-dyed in Peru, Araucania Painted Suri has a 96% Suri alpaca fiber content with a bit of polyamide added for stability. Painted Suri works up quickly at a bulky weight in subtly variegated kettle-dyed colors and creates garments and accessories with an ombre color play that is sought after in hand-dyed yarns.
Painted Suri comes in 100 gram hanks with generous 285 yards of yarn and can be used for garments and accessories on its own or can be used as a carry along with another yarn for super-bulky gauge projects..
