Brown Sheep Top of the Lamb

67-71% Off Super Sale!

About 39 years ago, Farmer Brown made his first ball of yarn, held it up and called it Top of the Lamb. This single ply 100% USA grown wool yarn was expressly designed and dyed in colors that could be woven in rugs by the Navajo Nation. If you have ever had the privilege of owning a rug from Navajo Nation there is a good chance that it was woven from Top of the Lamb.

Top of the Lamb being offered with this sale has 10% more twist in its single-ply construction, a Brown Sheep exclusive for Little Knits. This extra twist gave us a tougher more durable yarn that can be used for knitting, crochet and weaving projects with much less pilling than similar single-ply yarn lines. The extra twist shows with a slight crinkle in the yarn, which doesn't effect its texture when it comes to finished projects and will result in long wearing garments and accessories of all kinds as well as various items for home. We haven't tried felting with Top of the Lamb but we believe it can also be used for felting projects.
