Cascade Yarns Eco + Hemp is a DK weight yarn with a Peruvian highland wool and hemp fiber content.  Hemp is a plant based fiber that is three times stronger than cotton.  It is very durable and anti-microbial as well as mold and mildew resistant.  Like linen, hemp softens with washing and does so without fiber degradation.  Hemp is also breathable making the garments created with this yarn line lighter.  Cascade Eco+ Hemp has a tweedy look and comes in big 100 gram hanks with generous 328 yards of yarn, which can be used to make garments and accessories.  In addition, this yarn line comes with great free pattern support courtesy of Cascade Yarns.

Fiber Content: 80% Peruvian Highland Wool and 20% Hemp.

Yardage: Approximately 328 yards in each 100 gram skein.

Knitting Gauge: Approximately 5.5 - 6 stitches to an inch on US 5 - 6 needles (3.75 - 4.0 mm).

Crochet Gauge: Approximately 3.5 - 4.25 SC to an inch on US hook size 7 - H (4.5 - 5.0 mm).
