Ella Rae Rustic Lace is a Global Organic Textile Standard certified organic two-ply lace weight yarn that comes in 50 gram cakes with generous 310 yards. Rustic Lace has a 75% New Zealand wool and 25% silk fiber content and presents with a tweedy look similar to that of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool but in a lighter weight. Rustic lace can be used to make light garments and accessories, lacey shawls and stoles as well as color work. It is also a great yarn for delicate lighter weight weaving projects with an 18-20 wpi.
The Global Organic Textile Standard covers the entire production process based on the use of organic fibers from textile processing and manufacturing up to licensing and labelling. While this is a rigorous process in which all criteria must be met, the result is an internationally recognized organic certification demonstrating to stakeholders, partners, and consumers your commitment to providing sustainable, ethical, and high-quality products.
