When the owners of Schaefer Yarn decided to retire they sold their remaining Trenna yarn base to Little Knits, a luxurious 50-50 merino and silk lace weight yarn. We then sent it all to Lorna's Laces for hand dyeing.
Trenna is a luxurious lace weight yarn that is available exclusively through Little Knits. It comes in 100 gram hanks with generous 1250 yards of yarn, which is enough for large size shawl/wrap or a medium size garment. Trenna has a smooth and soft hand with a subtle silky sheen and works up with a beautiful drape.
Currently we have over 65 different color lines on two pages. Please hurry if you would like to have some Trenna as we will not be able to get any more stock in the future, this really is the last of this gorgeous yarn line.
Fiber Content: 50% Merino Wool and 50% Silk (soft and luscious with a beautiful subtle sheen).
Yardage: Approximately 1250 yards in each 100 gram hank.
Weight: Lace.
Gauge: As with all lace weight yarns gauge would vary based on the project being planned.
Care: Hand wash in cool water and lay flat to dry.
Spun in Italy and hand-dyed in the U.S.
