Noro Taiyo is a heavy worsted weight yarn with a soft cotton, wool and silk blend. Taiyo is one of the softest Noro yarn lines that works up with beautiful gradual stripes and works up quickly. This lovely yarn can be used to make garments and accessories that would wear comfortably next to skin and wear lightly without making the user too warm. Ideal for Spring and Summer projects that can be worn year-round.
Fiber Content: 40% Cotton, 30% Silk, 15% Wool and 15% Nylon (Soft with a beautiful hand and great next to skin)
Yardage: 219 Yards for each 100 gram skein
Gauge: 3.5-4 Stitches to an inch on U.S. size 7-8 (4.5-5mm) needles

Taiyo Sock is a soft cotton, wool and silk blend with a bit of nylon thrown in for stability. While the name indicates that this yarn can be used for socks we have more often used Taiyo Sock for light wearing garments and accessories. Taiyo Sock is available in 100 gram skeins with generous 457 yards of yarn in each skein. One skein of Taiyo Sock is sufficient for projects such as cowls, hats and mittens while two skeins make a small to medium sized garment or a nice size shawl/stole. Taiyo Sock is available in beautiful color combinations that work up with gradual stripes.
Fiber Content: 50% Cotton, 17% Wool, 17% Nylon and 16% Silk.
Yardage: Approximately 457 yards in each 100 gram skein (One skein is sufficient for an average size pair of socks)
Gauge: 7.5-8 stitches to an inch on US 2-3 needles
