The Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) is a long-wool breed of sheep that originates from 18th century England. BFL sheep have curly, fine, rather lustrous wool which is one of the softest of the UK clip. Appropriately named for their beautiful dark-blue skin underneath their lustrous wool most BFL sheep produce white wool with some producing dark brown or black wool. Yarn made with BFL fiber is soft and can be used to make beautiful garments and accessories.
